So I don't know about you, but I'm ready to start my garden and can't wait for the weather to stabilize. I drew out these root veggies for new buttons. I even intend to package them with "little finger" carrot seeds --- which also promise to be tiny and cute.

Muppet Peter Pan

I've been working with Boom! Studios on their Muppet comic line and this is a cover for the upcoming Muppet Peter Pan. I met the writer, Grace Randolph, of this series at SDCC '09; also chatted a bit with Roger Landridge, the brilliant writer and artist of the Muppet Show comic. All Muppet fans ought to be following the series --- you can even sing along to the musical numbers! I'm lucky enough to be illustrating a special issue of the Muppet Show right now. Stay tuned!

This past weekend I attended The Maine Comic Arts Festival in Portland with the huge force that is The Boston Comics Roundtable. This is definitely the break-out comic/small press convention --- and it was all thanks to Rick Lowell and his excellent staff, who had a fully realized and not to mention FUN festival their first year! How about that photo? Cat power!

So now I'm working hard to get to MoCCA; and yes, the rumors are true, the Star Wars fanbook trilogy will be premiering there.

So I'm working on a new book, and thought I'd start posting about it in my new blog. I've been meaning to make another kid-friendly comic, and thought dinosaurs would be a great theme. The main story is a ~~modern~~ prehistoric take on the tale of Sysiphus. However, it'll also include a few postcards, since I found a replacement blade for my paper cutter that makes perforated cuts. Brilliant. Above is Pachycephalosaurus --- although I'd say the drawings only 75% done. More to come!
